An Exploratory Study on the Meaning of Using Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation among Persons with Psychiatric Disabilities

This study explores the meaning of use community psychiatric rehabilitation (CPR) services to gain knowledge improve and shed more light on how facilitate recovery. The topics explored included: motivation for participation, perception expectation towards CPR, interactions with professionals in CPR Center, feelings activities. A qualitative approach was adopted, 30 consumers were interviewed face-to-face by using semi-structured interview guide. Data analyzed open coding method grounded theory. consumer accounts provided information eight aspects services. findings revealed that Center created a lifeworld, friendly place similar home structure Professional relationship key change agent rehabilitation. Most adopted recovery-oriented empower participants giving opportunities choices. essential ingredients this lifeworld covered goals, physical exercises, psychological impact, social interactions, learning, economic gains. venues interpersonal daily life, which helped reach their goals brought existential lives.
